There were 2 or 3 more difficult walks in the book He also thought the 637 was feet, but it was metres so it was quite a long way up.... It was a toughy to say the least. There is a lovely low-level walk along the side of Ullswater with beautiful views if you didn't fancy the 8.5mile/5hour option we did

Gina, that made me laugh - climbing to the top and then not seeing anything Typical lakes weather

Thanks for the comments everyone

My two are used to going on really long walks with me, but I think, I'd get them up there and then be stuck
I know where you are talking about, I thought it overlooked Ullswater, yeah, I think that is abit too much for them.

Not good to misread the book!! Which book was it?? Also I think you should have the book!!! feet and metres not good to muddle them up, sorry that has made my day Did you get up there and think bugger we have to get down yet????

Still really want to go now !

Re: More scenery

It's a shame it is a bit too far to go just for the day to take pics, or we could have a YoP! Lake outing.

Re: More scenery

Yeah . How far is it from Cheshire? The journey used to be about three and a half to four hours from Anglesey. Just checked Google maps and your right, just that extra half hour than Anglesey is from Cheshire but too far for a day

Re: More scenery

We would have to leave very early

Derbyshire has amazing views though, and isn't so far. Maybe we could do something like that in the future North Wales aswell.

Re: More scenery

Boy do I love old churches. I'd love the opportunity to shoot the one you captured so tastefully. My eye keeps getting drawn to the foreground flowers however. Have you tried a tighter crop, or blurring the flowers? Was the church your prime subject matter? Not intending to be critical, just curious.
