Re: HDR's of some of the weekends pics...

moonstone thank you for your welcome back - by way of explanation 7 weeks ago i was admitted to hospital in Cyprus as an emergency case and subsequently aeromedivaced to the Queen Elizabeth University hospital in Birmingham neurosciences surgical ward for spinal nerve damage surgery. I have recently had my surgery and have regained the use of what was, as a result of my accident, a 100 o/o inoperative leg and associated spine/nerve damage.

Although I can now feel full sensation and have 80 o/o limb mobility bedbound - tomorrow I will find out if i will be able to walk un/restricted again. I'm anxious but opptomistic and will also still have a long way to go to rebuild muscle mass again and strengthen my spinal/core torso muscles....

Sorry I digress from your great images but I didnt want to give the impression I am a 'fair weather' YO-er (?) and have been avoiding you talented people.

When i am discharged I will look at that plug-in (photoshop CS3 compatible?) and have just the image in mind to HDRise.

I too have attempted HDR purism with mixed results. I like many others do think that when using HDR imagery - less is more.

I'll be back soon - it is difficult typing a post touch-screen on a console suspended above my bed - My shoulders and canular filled hands are aching now -

Sorry to hear you're still poorly JR - we were all worried about you - might be an idea updating everyone else in that thread too as not everyone revisits picture threads like this (I only did cos I saw your name!).

I'm not sure I follow - but were you wheelchair-bound before and this operation has 'helped'?

Wish you a speedy recovery!

Thanks for your good wishes. I wont hi-jack moonstones thread with the gorey detail but no, prior to a recent accident (acute spinal compression), i was fully 'able'.

I will reply to the 'we are worried' link in due course - with details. (I really have had a number of life-changing experiences as a result of this, which I'd like to share in more detail. Bring your tissues ladies - I have lost track how much I have cried in my absence for a number of reasons I would like to share.
