Thanks Phil.
The RSPB has the Wrens Annual territories up at 8,512,000 and is supposed to be the commonest UK breeding bird, this being said you would expect to see more around.

Im in the same boat as Owen, no birds come to see me .................not having a garden could have something to do with it
they are a tad soft but good enough as proof pictures

That fact always amazes me. Perhaps it's because they're always bustling about in the bushes rather than out in the open. As a nipper I remember my dad on more than one occasion pointing out a Wren like it was something special. I'll keep trying

Thanks Ken

Looking at some of these images in the light of day i can see what Dave meant about sharpness, the fact shots were handheld and half were really cropped has made for horrible out of focus images. Especially viewing the Chaffinch full screen, i might get a successful image of the Chaffinch one day........

nice set Mark, i really like the wren picture,

i think the reason we don't see that many of these little birds around is they spend most of their time under bushes looking for bugs, i tried photographing them under a bush and the photo just looks to busy to actually see the wren, it's quite rare for them to come out in the open,
