Anyhoo... well spoted DJ, it is indeed Lochwinoch
just wondering if anyone would object to seeing any other pics I have taken on my travels past?
More on the D300 will follow but I have a couple (few?) pics from travels that I would like to hear some comments on from the esteemed posters on YoP.
Heres one taken with my old nikon D50 taken while staying at Corsewall Lighthouse in Jan last year.

Excellent shot Fraze. This would look great in a large print, framed, and would show the effect on the waves of the 10sec exposure you used.

beautiful shot of the lighthouse ! will look great in a poster size but the only teenie thing would bothered me is the car might spoil it in that size

It's great that people on here can actually 'see' what the photographer was going for picture-wise and provide a very distinct empathy as to what what they think they would have done from the same shot.
Hey were all amateurs when it comes to photography on here and some are way ahead of others or, at different points of the spectrum. (better at photoshop, better at flash, better at composing..etc)
They main thing is that we can all learn off one another on YoP and you just reinforced the fact that some people on here are prepared to give a more balanced opinion than others.
Next person to slag my pics dies!...clear?
