OK, you have overdone the sharpening a little, if you are going to crop the tree on the right then it would be best to remove it all either with the crop or by using the stamp tool.

Personally I would have left the pond in the shot but that is a personal decision so that is up to you. like the way you have warmed the colour up and the basic ideas were find just require a little fine tuning IMO.

I'm posting my challenge edit early this week for no apparent reason. I needed to crop some of the sky out so that exposure compensation would yield a better blend of light. I lightened the path to add contrast to the scene. I wanted a haunted feeling with the path representing a safe way through the dark enchanted forest. <snickering lightly>
