Dog crash and a couple of others
Managed to capture this moment when Fingal (English Springer Spaniel) and Breagh (Pointer X Labrador) had a crash whilst playing. The light wasn't great but I was lucky as I had a 50mm f1.8 lens attached meaning I could shoot fast 1/2000 whist keeping ISO down at 100. Background could be better I know but they were just taken in the back garden.
Camera: Canon EOS 40D
Exposure: 0.001 sec (1/2000)
Aperture: f/1.8
Focal Length: 50 mm
ISO Speed: 100
These ones of Breagh (back garden again) I thought I'd share. I was aiming for shallow dof - f1.8 but with a slower shutter speed. I tried to focus on the eyes as normally with such a wide aperture I end up with a sharp nose and slightly blurred eyes. I think the head is standing out though ?

Love the first shot Phil but wonder how Breagh manages to look so sensible in the last two shots, mind you no one expects a springer to have any sense so perhaps it is his fault.

I like them Phil, the action one is fab, spur of the moment thing and brilliantly captured!!
I prefer the second one of Breagh, Im not overstruck on dogs panting, although I do think at times it enhances a portrait. Nice work.
