sigma flash

I think i'm going to spend my jessops vouchers on a flash, as there's no sign of this 50mm Nikon lens turning up... It still says out of stock. Jessops say they're still waiting for a new delivery of them. Nikon says they've no idea when jessops will have them, and if i go to a proper camera store instead of a general electrics shop they can order it in for me... i thought jessops was a proper camera shop?

anyway.... I've no idea how long i'd have to wait, so i've been looking at a flash

I need one anyway and it seems good value for money..

I quite like the difference you can get in landscape shots... as show in the above link.

Re: sigma flash

get the Nikon SB600 or SB800. I have the SB600 and the advantage of having one of Nikons own is that it can be used as a remote flash off the camera. The camera acts as a command unit. Buying 3rd party flashguns wouldn't have this facility. you can get some great effects when the flashgun is say 30 ft away from the camera. that at least is on the D200/300, other Nikons may need the SB800 to act as a command flash

You can also add Nikon flashguns to make up a good studio lighting especially with different filters on the guns themselves.
