Glencoe and Corpach

Went a run to Portnacroish in May this year to image Castle stalker but those images did not go to plan, instead, I got better pics stopping off at Glencoe, Corpach and Glenfinnan. The day started very bad as I stopped off at Rannoch moor to image a Lochan there (loch ba I think it's called?where I broke my tripod. It was a really nice day but because of the rain the night before it made it really muddy. I had on my wellies but they did not stop me from slipping on to my knees as I was climbing out of an embankment, with tripod and camera (attached) in one hand digging in the ground to try prevent me from falling backwards when suddenly I heard this loud crack and one of the legs just snapped I thought that was the end of the day before it had even begun with all the mud on my trousers and a broken tripod but I was glad my camera equipment remained safe. I managed to temporarly fix the tripod but could only use it at a reduced height for the rest of the day and my muddy trousers dried in no time

Re: Glencoe and Corpach

Great set - as usual - your photos have been missed. I do like that youve returned to some of your previous haunts in a different season.

I'm glad it was only your tripod that had a mishap - albeit I expect you were still cursing!

Re: Glencoe and Corpach

Thanks for the comments everyone. Yes Jack, I was really annoyed with myself for not being more carefull. Of course, after a while I go into fast flowing rivers and nearly have my feet swept from under me

I forgot to add this image taken at another favourite spot in Glencoe.

Re: Glencoe and Corpach

Great as ever DJ

I like the first 3 Buachaille Etive Mor & Buachaille Etive Beag shots although it's hard to find a better viewpoint than the last picture you added. I was at that very spot recently but didn't have a my wide lens so was unable to fit in the mountain and the waterfalls.

I like the picture of Ben Nevis and the Aonachs - lovely glow from the sun and the reflections in the water are nice.
