Seil Island and Connel
Went a run to Seil Island yesterday which is located about 12 miles south of Oban and is connected to the mainland via the Atlantic bridge. This was the first time I have been to this place never mind heard of it until recently. I'm very suprised that there is little mention of it as it is a fantastic place to visit and I certainly will be returning. Phil, and anyone else looking for a differant place for photography (landscape,bird) I would recommend paying this place a visit. The scenery is stunning and a little unusual as I will show you on a few images here
1)f9.0, 30sec, ISO100. This was one of the last images I took before heading back home.
2)f16, 0.8sec, ISO100
3)f8, 1/25sec, ISO100
4)f22, 5sec, ISO100 Seil Island looking over to Easdale Island.
5)f16, 4sec, ISO100 Connel bridge(near Oban). It poured with rain at this point and I thought the day was ruined, but weather got better at Seil Island
6)This one is just to show you the Atlantic bridge and is just a snapshot.
This is what separates the island from the mainland
7)f10, 1/100sec, ISO100
8)f16, 70sec, IS0100
Filters were used on 1,2,4,5 and 8. Lee GND 0.6, B&W 6stop ND and a combination using my Lee CPL.

Great shots DJ. I went there a few years ago (1988) when I cycled round Scotland with a pal. I would quite like to go back with the camera though.

Not sure if Seil Island is classed as one of the Hebrides, if so, then yes it will be the first one If not, then it will be the closest to one of the Hebridean Islands I've visited
Here is a map of all the Hebridean Islands, Azz.
Looks like Seil Island is my first Azz
I hope to visit them all in the future
