Taking pics at fairs

Right the fair is here I know a big kid
Well one night I want to go down there with my camera, now I really don't want to be dragging my stupid tripod down there, talk about making yourself stand out, not a good thing so will i be able to get any decent shots of the stuff without it, just handheld????

I want sort of blurry pics, you know dodgems, the rides moving that sort of thing, so it is like you on the ride, I haven't explained that very well, have IClose ups of the fair signs and lights etc.
Just don't fancy lugging my camera bag and tripod, might as well just give it away

thanks Suzi

Re: Taking pics at fairs

Well I would say "tripod" either that or you will have to find a sturdy surface (not easy) or have the camera on timer and hold it as steady as possible!
