Not Fireworks, but Sparklers
Okay, I cheated not Fireworks, as I was letting them off, so I took some shots of the kids Sparklers, I took loads
all sorts of mad patterns, these are just a few
First time I have ever taken shots in the dark, the camera was handheld, I can't get on with Tripods

Wow! Those shots are terrific - especially #3. How on earth did you handhold such long exposures?

I really do have very steady hands, and I have tried two Tripods now, and I just can't get to using them
So it was a case of just keeping still

you know the bizarre thing at last nights firework display is that there was a public announcement saying that Sparklers were not allowed as they contravened health & safety regulations!!! i ask you, what next - full protective apparel while playing conkers!

I know Jack, it is daft, as long as you are sensible and watch what the kids do, I think they are okay. I have a bucket of cold water at their feet and they just drop them straight in there when finished.
As for conkers, I do believe some schools have banned them and some do make kids wear eye goggles before they are allowed to play. I feel sorry for my kids, they just don't have the freedom I had as a kid
