Photoshop v Photosuite

I am really very much a novice here, so if my questions sound silly, bare with me.

We have Photosuite, (and I cant use that properly) is Photoshop the same, or better???

I am really trying to learn, and banking on you guys to give me the tips I need.

Re: Photoshop v Photosuite

Photoshop is the industry standard - if you can get it or have it, I would say use it above any other package
Kit 1
Nikon D300
Nikon 55-200mm VR
Kit 2
Nikon D40
Nikon 18-55mm
My Compact/P&S: Panasonic Lumix TZ7

Re: Photoshop v Photosuite

Don't install Photosuite, I tried it many years ago and it's a sod to get rid of, it embeds itself into your registry and there's no way you can totally wipe it off.
Kit 1
Canon 350D
Canon 18-55 f:3.5-5.6
Tamron 28-300 f:3.5-6.3
Sigma 28-200 f:3.5-5.6
Canon 28-80 f:3.5-5.6
canon 80-200 f:4.5-5.6
Kit 2
Canon 40D
Sigma 10 - 20 f:4.5

Re: Photoshop v Photosuite

I have always used photoshop - so don't have experience of photosuite sorry...

I guess it depends on what you want to do with your pictures? whether you want minor edits like re-sizing - or major works? What do you have in mind?
