Glenelg - Any difference ?

I've a lot of 'noisy' images from dull flat days which I'm trying to rescue so have posted two versions of the same shot just to see if there's any visible difference ?

As for the shot - It's two stitched images looking back over to the village of Glenelg from Skye with the hills of Kintail behind.

First one is sharper here Phil - would need to see bigger to judge noise levels really.

Re: Glenelg - Any difference ?

I can see a teeny tiny difference in the details of the water - but barely noticeable.

Re: Glenelg - Any difference ?

Would say there is a sizeable improvement in the sky of 1 far more detail, and there seems more "mood" and more general detail in the first one too but I can't say why because I don't know why.

Re: Glenelg - Any difference ?

Second one for me Phil, better colours and far less noise (on my monitor anyway).

Re: Glenelg - Any difference ?

Splitting hairs.but tend to agree with Jeff.
Here's another perspective of Glenelg. There is a quite spectacular war memorial for such a small place. Memorable also for the iron age Brochs just down the road.

Re: Glenelg - Any difference ?

Cheers folks

I've not tried to do anything yet PP wise to improve this shot yet.

With quite a few dull noisy images though - I just picked one at random to see how a particular noise reduction setting showed up when posted on here.

For the record - the first was just as it was and the second had been through a simple noise reduction step.

NikoSnap - Thanks for the edit - By the way the Brochs are right by where we stay - the cottage is where the road branches and you can go either go left to the Brochs or take the road to Arnisdale. I might have some of the memorial too although I've not been through them all yet.
