Burning wick

These were taken with being bored one New Years Eve...ahem, and a little drunk...





Kit 1
Started with a Canon 350D and now own a Canon 50D
Canon 18-55-IS kit lens
Canon 55-250-IS lens
Canon 50mm f/1.8 mk2
Sigma macro 105mm f/2.8
NEW, Tokina 11-16mm F/2.8
Kenko auto extention tubes, canon fit

Don't know if I like those black borders, reminds me of cards when someone dies,
especially as candles are associated with it.

The subject matter has been taken in a way I havn't seen before, so the creativity is definately a bonus. AS to wether I actually like the photos I can't decide ,which isn't a bad thing as I am rather outspoken on pictures I like or dislike as others have found out.

^ I agree - Im not a huge fan of black borders, but I dont think they are taking away from the shots.

I cant make my mind up about capture 1. I like it, but I would have changed the composition so that was more towards the left with the wick looking right towards some darkness.

Number two however is fab - It reminds me of some deep underwater worm. The clarity and details are wicked xx
