ND/ND Grad filters - Helpppp!
Hi all, just a few questions..
I'm looking to get a set of ND/ND Grad filters for use with my Nikkor 17-55mm lens, and was after some recommendations!
From research, it seems that the Lee filter system is the business, but expensive. Cokins seem popular, but have been reported to leave a bit of a cast on images, and then there are the Hitech ones, which if I understand correctly, can be ordered in both Lee or Cokin sized and you need a Lee/Cokin holder plus adaptor for them.
I was wondering what was the best bet for the above lens? I don't think I can afford the Lee ones at the moment as I'm having a beans on toast kind of month after buying the lens (secondhand...but still pretty pricey!), but would be very interested to hear of experiences with Cokin / Hitech ones.
Also, are soft Grads the way to go in Wales, to avoid the hills being cut in half by a sharp contrasting line?
