Village church or look before you click

We have in our village a beautiful old church, in need of some TLC but I have always enjoyed looking at it. Decided the other day take a shot of it, there is only one place you can get a view from tip of spire to the ground so I drove there.

Disappointingly the sun choose to disappear behind a large black cloud but I took the shot, this is the shot of my villages beautiful church, and two lamp posts, and a telegraph pole complete with cable and notice, and a Give Way sign and street name plate, and as if that was not enough a stupid photographers car.

Motto look before you click, sad though I really liked this view of the church till I really looked.

Re: Village church or look before you click

Who said there's not much you can do about a lamp post?

I only spent a few minutes on this Snapper ( hope you don't mind ), but if you do end up with shots that are spoiled by unsightly objects, with a little time, and a little love...all is not lost

Re: Village church or look before you click

Don't mind at all; wish you could do it in life. Did wonder about editing it but chickened out a bit where the lamp post got to the church window. However I will now lift, with your permission, the copy you have done and repair the cottage wall and keep it to remind me of what the church should look like.

PS may even have a go myself if it can be done then I should be able to do it. May then go again when it will be in better light as it is also a beautiful colour in the right light

I literally only spent 2-3 minutes on it Snapper...it's quite rough when you look a little closer, and I even left the 2 telephone wires just in front of the church roof...in all honesty, I didn't notice them until I posted the edited picture...so I would suggest editing it yourself, and spend a little more time on it than I did
I only posted to illustrate to others what a little editing on even the busiest of photographs can achieve.

However...

If there are any fellow forumites who have similar problems with their pictures, and aren't confident enough to edit their own shots, I would be only too happy to help out. Feel free to PM me anytime.

Re: Village church or look before you click

Would be interested if you don't mind disclosing, did you just use cut and past with the stamp or is there another way I have not discovered?

Re: Village church or look before you click

I used the " Clone " tool in Photoshop, although I've just come in to the office at work, and looked at it again on my pc there. This monitor shows me there are still large amounts of the lamp post remaining, just above the church roof....but they weren't there on my monitor at home. I'm kinda embarrassed now.

I'll need to callibrate my monitor again

Re: Village church or look before you click

Can't see it on mine either, know how to adjust the colour and contrast of the monitor, is that what you mean or are there other adjustments?

Sorry seem to be picking your brains too much today.
