Why you should chew your food!

In response to Jols' challenge, here's a couple of snaps I took of our poor little Beagle Beanie when we got her back from the vets this morning:




The plastic stuff in the bag is part of a ball she somehow ate in the park last week. The vet tried to extract it with an endoscope but in the end it needed surgery

Yep she's going to be fine. She's obviously feeling sorry for herself and is still kind of spaced out from the painkillers but she's eating fine and keeping it down.

She's always been a chewaholic but never a swallower - until now. We recently got her a little brother (have to post some pics of him up soon) and maybe she's feeling the competition for toys and chewables. According to Beagle logic the most secure place to keep something is in your stomach, apparently.

Aww poor thing! Our dobe swallowed a bouncy ball once - needed surgery to get it removed too.
