I think these are very good and really grabbed my interest, partly because of the mono treatment but also the unusual figure. What's the story on that SK where is it?
Two things, on 1, I'd like to see the figure straight up, I can understand the issue with the horizon, but somehow I need to see it straight! 2) This months POTM is Shadows... You have shadows...
The second one wins for me...great shot.

BC, they are from Anthony Gormley's Another Place on Crosby beach in Liverpool.
I can see where you are coming from on wanting the figures straight, but they aren't! Straighten them and it throws the horizon off.
