Samsung BX2250 monitor

I have had a few problems with my main computer and monitor recently, so today purchased a Samsung BX2250 monitor. Monday will go to the computer shop around the corner and get another computer built to the spec I need. I can't buy one "off the shelf" because of the business program I have which is DOS based.

Oh dear there I go again rambling on about something which wasn't the main purpose of this post. What I was going to say is, no wonder the pictures I have taken and those posted on forums didn't look as good as I would have wished is down to keeping and using an old monitor. Well thats my excuse and I am sticking to it, This is a dedicated computer monitor whereas yet another for the backup doubles up as a TV as well.

Now for the big problem - altering hundreds of photos to get them how they should look and batch editing is out of the question. Still should keep me going until I reach 110 years old.

Why don't you get a cheap 'dos' machine for the business and get yourself an iMac?

I wouldn't touch a Mac with a bargepole. Its a bit like Canon v Nikon, you get used to one system. My wife has a mac laptop and trying to find out the workings of it is impossible. This monitor is amazing especially watching ones own videos in wide screen, makes you feel your there.

I must admit - I might just go and buy a Mac.

I've used them over the years (design work) in my job but at home we've always had PC's.

Working from home makes a PC more practical as I'm switching all the time between business and home applications but for my own use I'm quite tempted.
