Heceta Head Lighthouse
This weekend's ride took me on a 330 mile ride to Heceta Head Lighthouse. It is located a few miles North of Florence, Oregon along Coastal Highway 101. Google searches revealed it's one of the most photographed lighthouses in the United States. It's open for free to the public unless you want a tour. On a beautiful sunny day, with the temperature at 66 degrees, the trip and the destination were fantastic. My bunns were sore because I didn't want to iterupt the ride home. Tourists were everywhere, especially on the limited highways going to the ocean. It's the price we must pay for isolated, pristine scenery.
