Re: Old Mill in Mono

That's a lovely shot Moon and it looks like a great location.

When viewed large the white cloud on the left hand side has gone quite grainy. Did you increase the saturation or contrast by loads before converting to b&w ?

Re: Old Mill in Mono

Suzi, do me a favour and whilst straightening it can you remove that white mark on the left above the tree, may be an aircraft trail but it is worrying me otherwise an interesting if busy shot. the mill and stream would also make good subjects without trees, you are a lucky girl to have all these new places to visit.

Love the fence, about a foot high, on the right and would have liked to see this scene in colour, I understand you are trying for a certain feel but it is a pretty scene and I feel it should also be seen in its natural state, please. - Or do you know better

Re: Old Mill in Mono

I think its a lovely shot Moon, but I prefer a "natural" horizon and am not a fan of everything being straight, however I appreciate its personal preference.

Yay!!! thanks Dawn xxx

I think this one of those shots you either like or not, it isn't to everyones taste, but I do really like it

Snaps, yes, it is a vapour trail, but left it in as it was there at the time, the fence is big ugly fuel pipe it is way too busy in colour, as the mill is a very bright red, and I like it Mono
