Great colours Dawn. We get several species here (Liliac breasted, Purple and, during our summer, European) but I have never seen this species. Is this guy in captivity? He needs a beak trim desperately!

Yes he is in captivity, the first time any european zoo or collection has been successful in breeding them too. Cotswold wild animal park.
