Tufted Titmouse

Managed to get a few fairly decent shots of some Tufted Titmice today. Well, decent by my bird standards anyway

Those are really good shots Suzi, especially #1, nice framing, good focus and exposure. Same for #6 as well. I think #4 could have been a cracker if you had got the focus perfect on his eye and maybe framed a little more to the left. I would have like to have seen all the tail in #5 and maybe centered in the frame, but overall you got some really nice images. Well done getting so close too

I was gutted when I saw no4 on the monitor, as I thought I had got a really good one,. Agree about no5, I loved the pose, but cut a bit of tail off

I'm finding birds the hardest thing I have tried yetI'm really pleased with my zoom, though haven't used it that much, and I am finding it a bit slow focusing on birds, or it could just be me I got no chance with it reaching tree branches though,as the trees are stupidly tall with really long trunks, so the first branches are so high, birds are blobs. So will have to keep practising in the garden for now

The Titmice seem to be the most bold, and get used to you,and I talk to them but I am desperate to get some decent woodpecker and Bluejay shots, but they are really nervy

Agree photographing birds like most wildlife isn't as easy as one may think. You are so lucky having such a variety to get photos of. Now you have the bug etc. Great when you can capture water birds taking off or landing on water, the results can be spectacular
