Yellow Mongoose.

Went along to Dudley Zoo today, thought it would be noce to get a photo of a Snow Leopard in the snow...................................Didnt happen! However managed a few of the Mongooses who had a half snow covered enclosure and a "normal" side too.

Re: Yellow Mongoose.

Great set there Dawn, my favourites are 2 and 3 - I love the expressions and composition of each. Although if I could have the exposure of 5 in 2 that would be lovely thanks! Or maybe something in the middle (specifically referring to contrast). Also re 3, maybe edit out what looks like snow/sleep in the eye on the right?

Number 4 made me laugh, looks like he's got a back-pack made of snow on

Re: Yellow Mongoose.

Found the whole set very enjoyable Dawn, as far as I am concerned if a set of images gives that much pleasure it would be pointless from the point of view of the viewer to try to offer a critique, forgive.

Re: Yellow Mongoose.

Lovely set, wonder what he makes of the snow

Love No2! great shot, and no3, but No4 has the cute factor!

Lovely and sharp Dawn, I love the light in these shots, and it is nice to see animals in the snow, makes a nice change.

Sorry you didn't see the snow leopard

You can still say why you like the shots Snapper, as that's far more useful to the OP than 'I found the shots to be very enjoyable'.

Re: Yellow Mongoose.

Funny creatures I like 2 but think #3 is your best shot in this set Dawn. I would prefer a much tighter crop on 3 though, losing a bit off the top and cropped tight into the rock.

Re: Yellow Mongoose.

Yep, perfect!

Btw, what is your secret? How do you get these animals to look at you! I've noticed in a tonne of you pics that you somehow get the animals to look straight at you. Do you bribe them with food? Make noises? Or just have the patience of a saint!?
