Hey Cakey, I don't think you did anything wrong

It's very difficult to get the perfect shot when the skies are cloudy (white cloud or grey), I think you did every thing spot on, good shutter speed for prop blur.

Now if you good of arranged for blue skies, that would have been icing on the Cakey

now I am confused
Ken there was not a cloud in the sky and it was the hottest day in october ever .
I turned the image into b/w for a mono compo and upped the contrast a bit as I felt it was lacking without the colour.
