Close-ups, tiny snails

Spotted these two on my old A-Frame panel.
To give a size perspective, the lumps under the paint surface are fine grade grit and sand.
Hope the angles work ok, I had just lifted it and leant it up when I spotted the snails so had to do the best I could for angle without dislodging or damaging the snails by repositioning the panel

Thanks for looking

Re: Close-ups, tiny snails

They are interesting and well done Patch only complaint is I am not sure about the background colour No you could not help that do you know what species? Find as I mooch about the dog field and find different types of wildlife I become more interested in the subject as well as the photography, have learnt so much since trying to take a decent shot of birds (still not achieved).

Fascinating in the first shot it looks like someones thumb nail attached to a shell you can appreciate how beautiful nature is even in an animal that is such a pain to us and a snack to the thrush.

And no I`m not repainting my agility kit a different colour in case of photo ops for more passing snails

Me too As far as I can find the bigger one is a Banded Garden snail and the littl`un is a juvenile Common Garden snail, until I took the pics and looked at them full size I had never noticed that baby snails have hair on their shells, I did look it up as a result, apparently the hairs are to help them stick to wet leaves etc

I think the front of the shell was still developing, there are faint stripes ready to deepen and the thumb print type effect is I assume a stretch mark type thing from the shell newly developing as the snail grows up

Have to admit I don`t find snails to be a pain except when I accidentally tread on any which makes me feel like a rotten brutal killer
