Lowest Tide In Years

All this week the Pacific coast has experience a rare super low tide. As a result Canon Beach & Haystack Rock was so accessable you could walk right up to it. Tourists flocked there with the added beautiful weather to check it out along with exposed shipwrecksm tide pools and rocks covered with crustations. The sky cooperated with puffy light clouds, a perfect combination for a sunny day.

Those photos make me yearn to go back to Cornwall where I spent a lot of my youth.

You talking about low tides brings back memories of being able to reach some caves called cathederal caverns in a place called Perranporth when the tide was very low for about half an hour. There used to be a shipwreck one could walk around as well, actually just the wooden skeleton, which is no longer there.

Now living in the centre of the UK going to the coast for a day is not really viable due to the distance involved, (now where did my wife hide the helecopter)

Thanks for your kind words Bazza. I know I live in paradise here in the Pacific Northwest. There's a chance I'll be retiring in the next 6 months and the possibilities for photo shoots here are endless. I'm learning more about my new Nikon D90 with each shoot so I see the quality of my photographs improving quickly. I am also getting even more skillful with Photoshop Elements 7, Noiseware & Genuine Fractals software. I'm having great fun!
