Things That Grow On Trees

I took a 100 mile scooter ride today to photograph trees. Not just trees but things that grow on trees.
You see I live in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. It rains 8 months out of the year here causing the outdoors to be very green. It seldom gets below freezing so things grow all over everything. I've seen asphalt parking lots that are green from the mold and moss that grow on it.
There are trails & hiking paths behind one of my favorite restaurants, Camp 18. There's a raging stream that cuts its way between groves of trees, bushes and all sort of vegetation. These two thingies that caught my attention.

I'm going back to basics Azz. I shot every photograph today using a 35mm 1.8 lens. It forces me to get close. I shot everything using aperature priority using the 1.8 F-stop. Love that lens.

Re: Things That Grow On Trees

That second one is certainly an interesting shot, but it seems a little blown to me. Was that in the processing?

Good to hear feedback on the lens. I'm currently trying to decide between the 35mm and the sigma 30mm. I need something a little wider than my 50mm to use at home where space is limited.
