Wildflower

Out and about for the 1st time today since returning off holiday back in April. Done the odd garden flower image but not much at all. It was a chance to try out my new camera Although weather and lighting was shocking today.

Going to upload 2 versions of this image, one has just had colour correction done and has had a very slight crop, the other was left uncropped, colour correction, hue slight increase in green channel and highlights and shadows played with.
Which do you prefer??





Anybody name the flower too?? Not good on me wildflowers.

Thanks Ken. Its my early 40th Birthday present. Shame i could not get hold of one with the wide lens too, body alone was hard enough to get. I am impressed with it upto now, although today was a little disappointing, two main factors were the weather and me not using the tripod. Heavy bit of equipment when the 400mm is attached to it.

Just waiting on a bigger Mem card now, i only have 4GB ones, and i really want to shoot in RAW more and ditch Jpeg.

Hopefully the MC will arrive early week and the weather we are set to have will stay around now allowing me to get used to the camera in good light

Ooh - I prefer the second definitely. Not sure about what flower it is though! Congrats on new camera
