Anyone think they might want a new/boxed Nikon D90 and lens?

If you read a thread a few weeks ago you will know that I have won a Nikon D90 and 18-105VR lens. It will come boxed new and unused and unregistered direct from Nikon at a presentation from a Nikon senior in less than a month.

I have no intention of keeping it, sounds a bit ungrateful but I have a D300 DX and D700 FX and that's enough. So I am almost sure it will be sold on.

I have had a couple of people at work trying to tap me up for it but I don't think they will buy when it comes to handing over the money. I'd sooner it go to someone who may want to upgrade so the first place I will offer it most likely is here. I'll see what the price is on the open market, Ebay etc. and offer it at a decent saving - remember it will be new, not used. So, this is just a heads up so you can start considering if you would want it or not, do your research as I will only put it up here for a day or two.

PS. can't tell you about the competition just yet, no publicity until they publicise it!

Are all the rumours pointing to a D90 replacement soon? As yours is coming from Nikon, will that mean you get the new replacement model? Imagine that you might be one of the first in the country to have one!

Thanks, no I get this model as I got a confirmation email. I've known for a couple of months but they do the publicity in September.

I just thought it would give someone a month to have a think and sort of their finances! I would like to turn it around quite quickly before i convince myself of an excuse to keep it! I can't even part with my D300! I've already considered the D90 would be an ideal holiday camera. Smaller, lighter, good range lens...damn...I'm doing it again! Anyway, will offer it here first, and if no interest will take elsewhere.

Ok, I now have this camera, it is brand new boxed, direct from Nikon, D90 with 18-105 VR, not used. If any established members think they are interested make contact pretty quick as I am on the lookout to sell before i justify keeping it for myself! Basically I will sell at around £100+ saving over a Jessops/Amazon price.

What a fab offer BC I can't justify it of course but good luck (not that you'll need it!)
