Have you done some editing work on that Suzi, seems granulated, nice image but not quite natural. Going to feel a fool if it is straight from the camera and will be on the phone to Spectsavers immediately.

Haven't really done much to it Snaps. It's weird it looks fine in Lightroom, and different on here, weird

Thanks Suzi, it was not a criticism but I am trying to understand the different processes and the only way is to ask. I find things look different too, strange, same monitor but they do look different I think sometimes it is the automatic resizing, and that is another question, is it the resizing that gives this sort of granular effect? Not unpleasant but not what was intended.

It could be resizing, it was cropped , as the picture was well exposed but the sky was over exposed and white, and spoilt it.
Maybe a combination of cropping and resizing. TBH I have no idea

I like that picture. Pleasant if not a stunner. I too have the 'granular' effect but I'm looking at it on a business orientated Thinkpad laptop which isn't the best screen for photographs.

Great pic and setting. would look good with child running down or riding a bike.

I've learned a lot from looking at your photos Suzi. Your edge & frame treatment make your photos immediately look like they're ready for framing. Now, if it only had a bench in it.... LOL

I've been toying with a Craquelure filter to add that oil painting texture to the park pictures I took this week. I like the effect on some shots and would consider that filter's use on big enlargements that I might frame. That's the beauty of shooting in RAW, I always have a "negative" to use if I decide I don't like an effect. Very nice photo!
