Blue Moonie

I bough this fantastic magazine, and tried and failed TBH to follow the instructions, so this is my version of the project. I think Sammy did something similiar, hers looked more like the magazine pic though

Second version which I prefer :0

Re: Blue Moonie

Eileen I can try and explain if you want me to, but if you really want to do it, get the mag from WHSmiths as there are lots of little steps.Photoshop Creative

Firstly go to Image>Adjustments> Color Balance and increase the Cyans and Blues, in the midtones and highlights.Preserve the luminosity.

If you want to make your features more Elfin, or Fantasy use the Liquify tool to change ears, eyes etc, face shape.

Make sure your background is plain and uncluttered , dark blue will go with the tones.

Quick mask eyes,go to the hue /saturation and alter the eyes for more impact..

Add any lighting effects at this stage.

Add eye make up and dodge and burn features. New layer and apply makeup, airbrush skin. You will need to fiddle with the opacity of this layer.. If you aren't good with an airbrush use a blur filter.

Create another new layer, and airbrush out any clothes, and make skin tones on body.

I dodged and burned at this stage on the background.
I added brushes to the skin for skin markings. Dodged and burned hair. The last image I have done, I have blurred and smudged the hair outwards. Added little airbrushed stars too.

Then pull all the layers together.

This is a much shortened version of the steps. If you really wan t to do it , it is worth buying the mag

Suzi xx
