New toy results!
Just had to try out the new lens, amazing how difficult it is to find something to photograph.......These are not the best ever but am very happy with this lens!
All handheld, the IS is great! What a shop (B&H New York), was very hard to stick to the budget!!!

Very nice shots indeed. like the red flower, the bug/Frog is vile, but cracking shots!

Thanks for the views and comment! Azz - they don't barter, what you see is what you pay, just make sure you know what you want before going in there.........unless you want a very upset bank manager. Phil - got the new Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM Lens, really happy with it.

What's it like for non-macro shots Bongo - I hear it's nice for 'normal' shots ?
One of the reasons I've not got a long lens yet is down to the fact that part of me also wants a macro lens lol.
At the moment I've got at Canon MP-E 65mm f/2.8 1-5x Macro but it's more like a microscope than a macro lens and whilst impressive it's not much use for anything bigger than a few milimeters.

Phil I have a Tamron 90mm macro lens and at the moment, while my 50mm is away, I'm doing all my 'normal' pics with it.
You have to back up for portraits but it still takes nice crisp shots.
