Distant Cuillin Ridge (Skye)
Managed to catch this during a quick break in the weather.
The Northern end of the main Cuillin ridge visible over the slightly nearer Bla Bheinn and Clach Glas.
No idea why I shot it at 1/2000 @ f5.6
although a few mins earlier I'd been photographing buzzards so I'm guessing this one (I've loads to go through) was taken prior to me adjusting my camera settings.
Quality isn't the best - the ridge is about 40km away - I was on the Mainland above Sandaig between Arnisdale & Glenelg.

As I looked at your excellent photo Phil, I was reminded how fortunate I and other's here are to live in a place with exciting scenery. I've lived all over the USA and have never lived in a place like Oregon where Nature is in your face like it is here. After 4 years here I try not to let scenes like yours become commonplace, barely noticeable. I still revel at coming across a snowcapped mountain range scene, a pristine beach, a lovely waterfall or mile upon mile of open range. Thanks for sharing your wonderful photographs of your environment.
