Sea Eagle (I think)

So Felicity my daughter wanted me to take her out for her 25th birthday, it had to be somewhere she could use her new camcorder. After a little head scratching I thought the Shuttleworth 'Birds of Prey Centre'.

Most are heavy crops,

Anyway a few more of this magnificent bird:

Not all shots were captured as intended

Re: Sea Eagle (I think)

Really like these shots...not like our "sea Eagle" which is the Osprey but they are similiar. I know there is a place down south of me that cares for injured birds of prey...some are permenent residents there as they can not support them selves in the wild...always wanted to visit but didn't get a chance when I could walk around to enjoy it...wish I had made time to do that..Shirley

Re: Sea Eagle (I think)

I think (not 100% sure) that it might be an African Fish Eagle - which is a type of Sea Eagle albeit different to our own White Tailed Sea Eagle.

Nicely shot whatever it is Ken.

Re: Sea Eagle (I think)

Nice shots Ken. The day we went there were photographers on a course to capture the birds in flight. We really enjoyed our 1/2 day bird of prey handling experience.

Thanks for all the comments everyone, really appreciated.

Thanks for the info Phil, I just wish I had arrived a bit earlier to the display to catch more of the intro, but I thought maybe yourself or Laura may know.
