Oh I love this - I really really love it... the colour, the eye contact! I think this is fantastic <3
The only little niggle (since we're on a C&C kick
) is the white hair on the edge of the child's face... having said that, it could also be seen as a positive - because it keeps the viewer 'out of the picture' somewhat.
I really adore this one <3

Superb selective focusing BC, it's just the right amount of DOF to still allow the viewer an idea of the surroundings and whats going on, without drawing the eye away from the main subject.. the little girl.

I often use a single focus point with manual tweaking. It's easier if I use focus lock too, compose, focus, and then recompose but keep the focus locked. Had to be quick with this one though.

I have to agree with everything that has been said upto now BC. A great sense of depth with this one. To say its not perfect, to be honest it is not that far from it
