HDR wise - I think you've got the building spot on ( really like it ) but I'm still undecided about including the effect accross the sky.

That said - I like the sky in the 2nd one more.

These buildings remind me of Northwich and make me think of home - bring out the violins LOL

Although I have never tried HDR it does seem to work well, sometimes. Like Phil it seems to have given impact to the buildings but not sure I like the unnatural sky. Think I need to learn to do this technique in order to really understand what was involved.

Thanks Phil,the sky is over the top, but I like it and I really like the sky in the second one.
But each to their own, and I know lots of people won't like it as it is too false.

I took a whole bunch of pics at Blakemere yesterday, these are of an old stable block, the details in the buildings are fab, I will post some more later. I am getting into architecture, but not whole builings , just bits of it

I am going into Northwich later, but the weather is vile, so can't see me getting any pics, but I will try and get a couple of black and white buildings for you.

nice images Moon. I have been experimenting with HDR too. I agree that in my short experience it doesnt flatter pure blue skies, but it looks great on buildings. youve made it fairly subtle too - time to save those settings as a pre-set in Topaz.
