Some Local Scenery
Hi, I'm back again! Just thought I'd post some more images that I've taken. I had a trip recently with my sister and Karl, and though fun, I don't think the photos were as good as last time. Anyway - hope you like, looking forward to some friendly critique!

Ok. I'm going to be honest with you.
Your first picture is...well...
...it's kinda dull I'm afraid.
Your main focus in the image is on the channel that's formed as the tide comes in. That's where the eyes are drawn when we look at the shot.
But it's a bit flat, and a bit boring, and doesn't really hold any great interest, at least for me anyway.
And short of actually standing in the middle of it and shooting low along the surface of the water back out towards the sea, I'm not really sure if there would be any other way to make it more interesting. Certainly not at that time of day, unless you went for a long exposure using ND filters. That would have helped this shot immensely.
However...what you have managed to capture in your shot, and I don't know whether it was accidental, but it's certainly incidental...is a fantastic seascape on the horizon, of crashing waves and giant rocks...look at the top right of your frame...that's much more interesting to look at. It looks awesome!
And if that had been the main focus of your shots, you could well have had some amazing seascape shots, fit enough to hang on any wall

As for picture number 2, I actually quite like it. It's very calming to look at and is well composed.
I may have been tempted to get myself a little lower to take the shot if I could. Only to see if I could get any rays of Sunlight piercing through the spaces in the cross. But then again, that might have taken away the subtlety that you've managed to convey in this shot.
Nah...I'd leave it as it is.

I think MD is spot on! The lack of interest in Ownahincha is infuriating! 
I know the photos I took that day were nothing special (one of the reasons I didn't post them up) -it's a pretty boring area. Really like MD's crop!
Love the second image. Not sure what I'd change, if anything, but I do like it.
