1st try at mini studio

not done much of this, but with the boom in stock photography, I'd thought I'd try it out...


1. (not happy with the clone job on bottom of front wheel)

Below is a pic of my general setup in my living room. the cereal box with A4 white paper was my 'studio'

Looks as though you have colour cast from the walls onto your images - hence the warm tones- You should be able to correct that by manually adjusting your WB to compensate

Shadows are quite strong in #1 - try and light the back of it - to blow out your whites

Good effort overall though

PS just noticed you have legolas' fighting knives - i collect the United Cutlery LOTR swords too amongst other LOTR stuff!

nice spot!

I collect sharp pointy objects and firearms too.

I think most of the problems with these shots was the fact the bulbs are tungsten, so throw a strong orange/yellow cast. I intend to get dayglo bulbs which are a lot whiter, and reshoot.

get it stuck to a cereal box in a curve and you get what I have used above....
