Waspy thing on a foxglove
Had my compact in my pocket on a walk down to Sandaig (Gavin Maxwell's Camusfearna) and snapped this little waspy guy using the macro setting.
Without giving it too much thought - I was pretty chuffed with how well it turned out.
I'd hoped to walk in with all my kit for some landscape shots but the rain was lashing down. Might not set the macro world on fire but it just goes to show that you can at least get something with a wee camera tucked away.

OOOoooo I do love this, even more impressive it's with your P&S, great detail captured,and the colours are great too.
Did you get any of the Foxglove? they are one of my faves.

Sorry - the compact is a few years old now it's a Canon Ixus 80 IS.
I might have some of the foxgloves - I'll check after work.
