Re: Insuring your kit.

House insurance covers mine although (without checking) I think it's limited to £1K per item.

In that respect I'm not sure where I would stand if things needed replacing.

Replacing the 40D 'new for old' would mean claiming for a 60D which would fall within the £1000 limit but the 1D mark2 (which isn't worth that much more than the 40D) would 'new for old' mean a 1D mark 4 which is £3500 and that's about to be replaced by the 1DX which is about £5500.
Kit 1
Canon 1D Mark 3
Canon EF 17-40mm f/4 L USM
Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM
Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II
Kit 2
1D2 & 40D

Re: Insuring your kit.

Hi everyone, Nik from Aaduki here!

just a quick post to let you know that we have a profile here and if you want to ask any questions about insurance you feel I might be able to help with then please feel free to send me a private message or post here - Personal Messages are likely to get answered first though as I am not on the forum very often!

If I don't hear from you then feel free to say "hi" at any of the exhibitions you see me at...
