Crossed Wires

Expected a good sky tonight and rather than head up the hill I went down the the stubble field hoping for some big open spaces. Didn't quite get the sky I'd hoped so with nothing much else about I thought I'd try to do something with the telegraph poles that criss cross the field. I'd only taken my 17-85 lens with a view to getting as 'wide' as I could. Sods law - a herd of deer were grazing on the stubble

As ever - All comments and help welcome

As ever - wires (like cat's whiskers) go crappy when resized

Phil

I am no expert but just a thought in picture no 2. If you moved to the right a bit maybe those wheel tracks if you stood between them would help the eye go into the distance more. Maybe not, its only the photographer that can decide on the best position for a photo. Just love the sky colour in the last picture

Yep - good point. That would have looked good - a track coming in from each side.

Re: Crossed Wires

Phil these are fab! I really, really like the first one, everything about it is great, especially the moody sky and the strong colours.

I like all of them though, it's a great set of pictures

Re: Crossed Wires

if I may pinch your thread Phil this is a similar type of picture when taken from between tracks

The eye is led away to the distance. Hope you don't mind this illistration.

I like the first one too. The poles were crooked so I had to choose whether to have them vertical or the horizon horizontaly
