Warbirds
These two guys were practicing flyovers of the city yesterday.
They are F-18 Super Hornets that recently replaced our aged fleet of F-111's.

Dusty, yes it looks like a control tower but its actually the roof of our Parliament building in the city.

No1 for me, great shots of a wonderful aircraft. Are they carrier based Gav? I have seen the US Blue Angels several times and they are truly awe inspiring. While you are watching the main flight one of the F18s peels off and sneaks up on the crowd. The first you know about it is when you see the solo aircraft flying over your head, then you hear the delayed sonic bang, incredible sound.
